The Hall of Fame is an annual event to honor alumni, as well as staff and faculty members, who have excelled and made a significant impact in their professional fields. This year we are thrilled to honor Tom Anderson, Brent & Sally Smith, and Cindy Storhaug!
Cindy Storhaug is a retired Alexandria Public Schools instructional math coach, Math Recovery Intervention Specialist, and elementary teacher. She was a semi-finalist for Minnesota Teacher of the year in 2006 and is a 2013 Inductee to Bemidji State University Professional Education Hall of Fame.
Tom Anderson, Class of 1976, is a former University of Minnesota regent and a local business owner and entrepreneur. He has served on many community and civic boards, including Junior Achievement, Alexandria Area Chamber of Commerce, Alexandria Community Foundation, Alexandria Area Baseball Association, and more.
Brent and Sally Smith, Class of 1976, are philanthropists whose generosity and vision have enriched the Alexandria Area. Brent is the founder of Brenton Engineering, Aagard, and Enterprise CP. Sally taught English and mathematics at Alexandria Technical College for 36 years.
